Homemade Bath Salts for Spa

www.4haircare.com.au We’ve become a culture of quick showers rather than long luxurious baths…but the times when we do want to take a long soak, adding some scented and/or therapeutic salts to the water really make the bath wonderful. Bath salts add a beautiful and aromatic touch to any room.

Basic Bath Salts

3 parts Epsom salts
2 parts baking soda
1 part table salt (or borax)

Dendritic salt to absorb/hold the fragrance
Color –  liquid soap colors work well
Baking Soda – acts as a skin softener and water conditioner

Energizing Bath Salts

1 cup Epsom salts
1 cup coarse salt
10 to 20 drops green or blue food coloring
6 drops eucalyptus essential oil
10 drops rosemary essential oil
15 drops peppermint oil

Relaxing Bath Salts

Add the following to the basic bath salts recipe:
1 cup powdered milk
Finely ground chamomile or lemon balm

Ocean Blue Bath Salt

1 cup Epsom salts
1 cup baking soda
4 drops blue food coloring
3 drops jasmine essential oil
4 drops vanilla essential oil
2 tbsp. liquid glycerin
(moisturizes the skin)
